Flooring Installation in Everett, WA

Luxury vinyl plank, laminate, tile, and hardwood installed flat, level, and properly acclimated for Northwest humidity.

Most flooring failures are not the fault of the material — they are installation failures. A subfloor that was not flattened, a plank floor laid without an expansion gap, or vinyl installed over a slab with no vapor barrier will all fail, no matter how good the product was.

We start every flooring job by checking the subfloor: flatness, moisture, and soundness. Then we prep it properly. Only after that does the material go down. It is the least glamorous part of the job and the reason our floors do not develop hollow spots or lifting seams a year later.

We install luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate, engineered and solid hardwood, and ceramic and porcelain tile. In this climate, we pay particular attention to acclimation time and to moisture barriers over concrete slabs — Everett-area homes have both crawl spaces and slabs, and they behave very differently.

Frequently asked questions

How much does flooring installation cost in Everett, WA?

Installed pricing typically ranges from about $5 to $9 per square foot for LVP or laminate, $8 to $14 for engineered hardwood, and $12 to $20 for tile, including materials at mid-range quality. Prep work and removal of old flooring is additional and depends on what is there.

How long does flooring take?

A single room is usually one day. A whole house of 1,200 to 1,800 square feet typically takes three to five days including prep.

Can you install over my existing floor?

Sometimes — LVP and laminate can go over certain existing hard surfaces if the height allows and the substrate is sound. Carpet or damaged flooring has to come up. We will tell you at the estimate.

Do you move furniture?

Yes, we move and reset furniture as part of the job. Very heavy items like pianos or safes need to be moved in advance.

Which is better, LVP or laminate?

LVP is fully waterproof and handles wet areas, basements, and bathrooms better. Laminate is more scratch-resistant and feels firmer underfoot but does not tolerate standing water. For most Everett homes we recommend LVP in kitchens, baths, and entries.
